Elizabeth walked down the streets of Hogsmeade, looking around at the various shops. She opened the door of one she'd hardly been in and gazed curiously at the eclectic items. Liz made her way to a shelf of blue and pink bottles and picked one up. While reading the bottle, she had the urge to laugh. It was a form of love potion, pink for girls, blue for boys. On the back of a pink bottle she read "For Entertainment Purposes Only." The potion would make the tint of a boy's face pink if the girl who had taken the potion loved him. A boy who took the blue potion would see a girl's face blue if he loved her. She smiled at the potions thinking they were cute. She picked up a few bottles, it was worth a try.
She noticed a magazine rack and picked up a Teen Witch as well. Even though the magazine was silly, it was always an interesting read. The cover of this issue said, "10 Ways to Make Your Boyfriend Jealous." That was cruel. She flipped through the pages; advertisements for pimple-vanishing cream and a couple of quizzes filled the magazine. There was a scathing article about the old band, The Weird Sisters. Elizabeth never cared to listen to them, but they had been popular when her parents were in school. She stuck the magazine in her basket along with the potion bottles. She bought the items and left the store, heading to the Shrieking Shack. The Shrieking Shack had an eerie kind of beauty. She knew from her father what it had been used for, but thought it was interesting nonetheless. She leaned against the gate surrounding the building and stared dreamily off into space. She was brought to her senses by the sound of someone walking over to her.

Ryan had been walking down the streets of Hogsmeade, going nowhere in particular, just window shopping. He stopped in front of a store selling some broomsticks and decided to head inside. He peered throughout the shop, running his hand along some of the broomsticks before shrugging and without making a purchase, headed outside. The wind blew his hair around and he practically had to glue his hand to his head to make it stay down. The bad side of having long hair..
He reached into the pocket of his jeans and pulled out a white package. He glanced around him in all directions before opening it up and pulling out a cigarette. He lit it, covering it with his hand and took a deep breather of it before exhaling once more. That was when he noticed the Potter girl in the distance. Well, she was always fun to mess with. He casually walked over, his cigarette still in his right hand, and gave her a smug look. "Well, well, what's the lonely Potter girl doing now?" He asked. He looked down in her basket and noticed the love potions. "Oh, trying to get lucky I see?"

"Oh, very funny. They don't even work like that, besides, I thought it'd be a laugh." She glared at him. "You know, smoking's really unattractive. I don't understand why half of Slytherin has to smoke." She said, looking at his cigarette. Elizabeth shook her head.

"Well I wouldn't know how they worked, considering I get my dates the old fashioned way, and not by using potions." He said as he leaned back against the gate next to her. "But I guess when you look like, well, you, you have to resort to using potions." He took in another puff of smoke and exhaled right in her face. He smirked before continueing..
"So what's this I hear about you and a professor. I've heard the rumors." He was about to find out if it really was just a rumor, or a fact. He himself had heard from some Ravenclaw girls talking in the hall outside of the potions classroom after class. He had stopped near them to do a bit of eavesdropping.

Elizabeth raised her eyebrows as if she had no idea what her was talking about. "Rumors? About what?" She asked, interested. What had people been saying? Could Kiera not keep a secret? You can't trust anyone these days. She held back a sigh.

Ryan rolled his eyes and turned his head to look at her. "I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about. Gettin' it on with a professor? I didn't think it was like you." He snickered. It was pretty obvious she was putting on an act, it was one of those things he could sense. One thing that was a plus side of being in Slytherin was that you learned when people were lying. "But then again, I guess everyone's full of surprises." He added with another inhale of his cigarette.

She rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. People make up rumors about all sorts of things, hardly any of them turn out to be true." Elizabeth continued to glare at him. This was not why she had come to Hogsmeade.

"Hardly any? Well then that still leaves the possibility of this one being true then doesn't it?" He said with a sly smile. He loved pestering people like this, it made life more fun. He wondered if it was true, and if was, then he had some great black mail.

"No, it leaves no possibility at all of this one being true." She said. "Why can't you just keep to yourself instead of annoying people who happen to be older than you?"

Ryan threw his cigarette on the ground, crushing it with his foot and returning his gaze back at her. "Because annoying someone older than me, by only one year I might add, is a lot of fun." He answered, still wondering if he was right about the professor thing. He knew she wasn't going to tell him but he just wanted to know so badly..

"Annoying someone for fun is an immature thing to do." She said, rolling her eyes again.

Ryan kicked his foot against the ground. "Oh really? Well you do it all the time, you just never know it. You being alive annoys almost everyone." He said rudely, flicking his hair out of his eyes to give her a slight glare. So this was why he was in Slytherin eh? Everyone in that house had to be able to give a good smirk and glare, if you couldn't, well, you needed to get in some other house.

"Well if that's what you think, I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone." She said, staring at the Shrieking Shack.

"Well I'm not one to do favors for Gryffindors." He replied, watching her stare off at the Shrieking Shack. What was up with that place? He placed his hands on the bars of the gate and shook them a little, making a rattling noise to try and break her trance.

She glared daggers at him. "What do you want now?" Elizabeth asked furiously, wishing he would leave.
