he smiled as he kissed him again. there was somethingvery calming about it. Something was still wrong, he just couldn't put his finger on it.
"if there's anything wrong, you can trust me. I won't tell anyone. You know where i am if you ever need me."
He thought if he said that she might tell him eventually, even if it wasn't now.
He hated it when he knew something was wrong but couldn't get what it was. he felt helpless. it was even more difficult as someone he cared about was the person who was refusing to let him help her.

She sighed softly as she stood up and walked over to the window. She didn't want him to see the tears she knew would form in her eyes. " When I was about 13 I liked someone a lot, to the point I would of done anything for him. I wanted to him to know my name or atleast look at me the way he did the other girls, we were friends once but I let my feeling gets in the way and it took my away from him. He started dating my best friend, it tore my heart in two to see them together 'cause I knew he wasn't mine. And now....it's happening all over again though I hope that this time he isn't dating my best friend 'cause them he would be dating my uncle..." her voice trailed off.

he was fairly confused by this.
"the person you like is dating your best friend who's your uncle?" he asked, sounding very unsensitive about a subject which clearly was very delicate. he quickly realised his mistake.
"sorry, i should've tried to say that a bit better." he went red.

She giggled slightly but still didn't look at him, a single tear ran down her cheek. " I don't think he's seeing anyone if he is, he's hiding it very well," she said in a soft voice. " Back then my best friend was a girl called Alexis, but well she sort of got her face smacked into a wall by another one of my friends. They were always so violent," she whipsered the last part.
Her hair fell around her face as she lowered her head slightly. She could of killed Alexis for asking him out but that didn't matter to her anymore. Oh how I wish I could find the words to tell you how I feel... she thought to herself.

He felt terrible when he saw her cry. he stood up, walked up behind her, put his arms round he waist and rested his chin on her shoulder, kissing her hair and cheek.
"i'm sorry. i shouldn't have brought that up. It hasn't helped you to talk about it. If its any consolation, I'm very jealous of that guy you're referring to."

She looked down when she felt his arms around her waist, she closed her eyes when she felt his lips on her cheek, it sent a tingling sensation through her cheek. She shook her head. " It has helped, I needed to get these feelings of my mind so I wasn't facing them alone and I'm not anymore. As for being jealous of him," a small smile played on her lips. " You really have no need to be," she leaned into his embrace, she felt safe in his arms.

he sat down, with her still in his arms, so as he sat down she was brought down to be sitting on his lap. It was extrmely comfortable.
"no need to be jealous? you are certainly something to worry about losing to someone else."

She looked up at him with gentle eyes, confusion could be seen in them. She looked away for a second, looking down before cuddling into him. Silently thinking things through. " You don't have to say that to make me feel better," she said softly, she actually believed he was only saying it.

"Well, if they make you fee better, that's good, but i said them to do slightly more than make you feel better. I'm not making it up, if that's what you're suggesting."
He was slightly put out that she thought he was making this up. if anyone could make up that kind of thing to someone he would believe them to be very cruel. He meant every word of it.

She looked into his eyes then looked away, closing her eyes for a moment. " When...when I said that you didn't have to be jealous, there was a reason for it....The guy I like....well," she paused for a moment as words failed her. She didn't know how to continue, that was a first for her. She looked at him unable to find her words. She shifted, slipping her arms around his neck then kissing him. " The guy I like...is you..." she whispered with sad eyes.

he smiled and laughed. that made him very happy.
"I like you too." he couldn't stop smiling as he said it, and hugged her.
"you got all worked up over that?" he asked, and shook his head, kissing her forehead. "there was no need at all."
"just for the record. i don't date your uncle or anything." he added with a laugh.

" Well how was I supposed to know you liked me?" she said with a small laugh as she cuddled into him, he'd really shocked her. She'd never picked up on the fact he liked her.....
Just for the record. i don't date your uncle or anything.
She giggled again, still not raising her head from his chest. Tears formed in her eyes but they weren't sad tears...they were happy ones. " I always thought you liked someone else...." she said softly.

"like who? i can't remember ever showing over-interest in anyone while you were around. if idid, and i didn't see you or anything, i apologise."
He closed his eyes as he held her close, kissing her hair. he smiled as he wiped away her tears. "let's hope there's no more confusion like that." he said.

" I can't remember, it was another Ravenclaw girl though," she said softly. She looked at him and continued to cuddle into him, not wanting to ever let him go. " I don't know what I would have done if you were going out with someone," she whispered gently in his ear.
She rested her head on his shoulder, thinking about what things would of been likr had they not been friends before this.
