No, Damien didn't have a fever. He was actually purposely going to the ballroom, to learn to dance. He had to admit, it sounded a little strange, since most couldn't picture Damien Rhean on the dance floor in a hundred gazillion years. He walked through the open doors with Ellie, taking a good look around the place. It was like stepping in a new house, everything seemed completely new to him. The only difference was, the ballroom didn't smell like old leather. Anyway, that's beside the point.
The one and main reason Damien was so hesitant about learning to dance was that he had had bad expierences when it came to the sort of thing. The one time he had gotten a date, an actual date, to a ball with a girl in Ontario, he had stepped all of her feet. It was a miracle that he didn't break her toe or something like that. He was naturally a clumsy person, no stopping that.
He turned to Ellie and gave a sort of half smile in her direction. "So, miracle worker, where do we start?" He asked as he crossed his arms and waited for an answer. [/size][/right] |

Ellie entered possibly her favourite place in the whole school. She smiled at Damiens question and did a one handed cartwheel across the floor, just out of randomness. "First question, how much dancing do you know?" She asked, resisting doing more gymnastics, it was hard to though

Damien watched her little gymnastics move and smiled. He was tempted so try and do a cartwheel but knew it would most likely turn out as a sort of roll on the floor. Plus, he would probably break something in the process. A trip to the hospital wing didn't seem like the best thing right now.
He thought about her question for a moment before shaking his head with a laugh. "You honestly want to know?" He stated, rather than asked. "Nothing." He said. He could barely tell his left foot from his right, much less do any sort of dancing. [/right][/size] |

She smiled, "Well first things first, what sort of dance do you want to learn, fast slow, ballroom, latin or what?" She didn't know what sort of dance would suit him, she knew most types so any would suit her. She was secretly a passionate dancer

Damien paused a moment to think. He never really thought about all the different types of dances there were, so deciding on one wasn't that easy. He was tempted to say break dancing, but quickly threw that idea out. It might not be funny to someone who actually enjoyed this type of things.
He finally spoke up, "How about whatever you think is easiest." It probably didn't narrow it down very much, but it was a start. Sort of. [/size][/right] |

She smiled, that didn't narrow it down much at all, "Ok, a fast dance or slow dance?" That was a better question, she didn't mind either. Surprisingly enough break dancing came into her mind, she could do a few moves but not many, enough to make a dance with though.
"I don't think you'd like many latin dances, they are all about using your hips and stuff like that" Then again, she could be wrong, better just to ask him

"How about we start off slow?" He answered. He seriously doubted he could pull off anything fast paced, but then again slow might be a difficulty too. There he goes again, doubting everything. He smiled a little as he walked out to the center of the dance floor.
He looked down at his hips. "Yeah, how about no." He laughed. Learning to dance was awkward enough without having to move his hips around all over the place. [/right] |

Ellie smiled, "We'll forget the hold and just get the basic step first" She said and looked down at her own feet. She then realised they would need the hold. "No scrap that" She must have come across as a nutter to him but oh well.
"As the guy you have to lead the girl around. You are like the frame, and she is the picture, everything you do it to show her off" she explained, "So one hand is on my shoulder, and then the other one holding my hand, to make a whole frame" She finished
