Ashley walked into the forbidden forest, her sketch book tucked under her left arm. She patted her left thigh, checking that her wand was still in her front pocket. For once she had remembered to take it with her. Usually she completely forgot to bring it with her, but now that she had brought it with her to all of her classes she had grown used to taking it where ever she went.
Fortunatly it was the weekend, so she was allowed to wear regular clothes. Only a half hour before she had woken up in her surprisingly sun filled room even though it was winter. She checked her watch, it read 11:27am. This was the longest she had ever slept in ever. She smiled to herself, feeling refreshed.
She slide on her dark jeans and her favorite black, long-sleeved shirt. The window connecting her room to outside was open, she stuck her head out, feeling a warmth instead of a winter chill.
Ashley found herself at a large bare tree. Perfect. She thought to herself, throwing her book up on a branch. Slowly she began climbing the tree, only slipping slightly when she reached down to get her drawing book.
Settled on a branch several feet up in the air, she opened her drawing book and began drawing the sea of sleeping trees...

Ethan Arquette was lazily dragging his feet around the school and bored out of his skull by every conversation going on around him. It was the same ole thing, the same ole people. One thing he could look forward to was the Halloween carnival, but only because Pierre and him had a plan up their sleeves.
The Slytherin common room had been vacated by a rather large group of people, people he didn't have the slightest interest in talking to. Though it was beginning to grow colder outside, Ethan decided to slip on a black jacket, pulling the hood over his hair, and walked out onto the grounds. The wind was picking up and felt as if it could blow away the smallest of students.
He digressed and headed over to the edge of the forest before walking in. Someone wearing a dark jacket with the hood over his eyes and hands in his pocket must have looked suspicious wandering into the forest alone. For once he wasn't up to anything, not that anyone else would believe that. He had been known for his mischevious ways and tactics on a day to day basis.
Once he was clearly through the inner most part of the forest, he stopped in his tracks and sat himself underneath a tree. The same tree a fifth year Gryffindor girl happened to be sitting in. He didn't notice her, though the constant pencil scratching was driving him mad. He looked up, expecting to see a squirrel on one of the branches, but instead saw Ashley Llewoh.
Ethan smirked and grabbed the branch a few feet above him with both hands, clinging on until he was able to fling himself onto it. As he climbed, his hood fell off of his head, causing his hair to cover his eyes. He flicked it out and continued his climb. He stopped and seated himself upon a branch right underneath hers and looked up at her with pondering eyes. "Boo" He said with that same smirk on his face.

Ashley jumped slightly, hearing someone say 'boo' to her. She looked around, and remebered she was up in a tree. She laughed at herself then looked down, Ethan only a few feet away from her. This was unexpected, she hadn't heard anyone climbing the tree. That's pretty sad if you can't hear someone climbing a tree that you're sitting in.....goodness you're a dumby! She thought to herself, smiling at Ethan.
She closed her sketch book and slipped the pencil in her right front pocket then climbed down to the branch he was on, taking a step behind her, knowing that there wouldn't be enough room on one branch for the both of them. Sitting across from him was much easier than sitting above talking below.
"Trying to scare me like always Ethan?" She smirked and shook her head, "At least I didn't scream this time." She laughed slightly and smiled at him. "So, how are you today?" She held onto the tree with her left arm and leaned on it slightly. Her feet faced towards him, and swung a bit.

If there was one exception to the rules it was Ashley Llewoh. There was something about her attitude that didn't make it wrong to be friends with this Gryffindor. He turned sideways and leaned against the trunk of the large tree, while he layed on the branch.
"I guess you're getting better at being scared then." He picked off a leaf from the tree, brown and fragile, and began to tear it into little pieces, letting them fall to the ground below. "I'm pretty good, and sexy as always." He laughed a little and put his hood back on his head just in case a Slytherin happened to walk by and saw him having a conversation with her.

She shook her head, smiling and laughing at him, "Yes, extra sexy today perhaps." She laughed again. "Still embarrassed to be seen with me I see." She said a bit sadly. Ashley knew that he'd be in trouble for hanging out with a Gryffindor. Sometimes Ashley was afraid that people would start avoiding her for hanging out with a Slytherin, but she couldn't help it. The way he was nice to her and not a complete ass made her feel better about people through out the world. Like among the bad apples there's at least one who hasn't rotted despite the others around it.
She looked down at the ground and smiled a bit. She had began forming a small crush on Ethan, not knowing if it was obvious or not. Her feelings had to be taken into second consideration because of him being a Slytherin. She often had to be rude to him so it wasn't quite so obvious that she liked him.

Ethan laughed and swung his left leg back and forth, watching another leaf slowly fall by the wind. Embarrassed wasn't exactly the right word. No, the right word would be ashamed. Through everything that had happened with Jaxxon, he'd be called a hypocrite for being caught talking to her and would never hear the end of it. He was supposed to be a true Slytherin, not a cheap excuse for one.
"Well you know as well as I do that Slytherins and Gryffindors shouldn't be talking, especially laughing together." As long as no one saw, his reputation would remain the same, a cruel Slytherin boy that hated non-Slytherins. To make her feel a little better, yes he was actually trying to help someone feel better, he removed his hood. "But no one's out here now, so it doesn't matter."

She looked up at him and saw that he took his hood off. She smirked and leaned over, ruffling his hair with her hand. "Now isn't that better?" Ashley laughed, his hair sticking up a bit now.
Ashley lifted her self up a bit and sat with her back against the tree's trunk. She was a bit afraid of heights, but not too much to keep her away from them. She closed her eyes, a small breeze lifting strands of her hair up. She opened her eyes and turned towards him and smiled, not knowing what to say at that point.

Ethan looked traumatized when she messed up his hair then quickly flattened it back down with his right hand. "Never touch a man's hair love." He then reached over and tickled her with both of his hands before almost losing balance and grabbing onto the branch that held him up.
He had never really had a problem with heights, loving quidditch and all and loved being up somewhere high than down below where people could easily see you. He stopped swinging his leg and turned towards her.

She giggled at how sensitive he was about his hair. "Gah!!Stop!!" She said laughing as he tickled her. She held onto her branch as well, not wanting to fall. Ashley smirked and shook her head at him, "You're so mean." She stuck her tounge out at her and poked his nose still holding onto the branch with her other hand.

Ethan smirked as she poked his nose and flicked his head sideways so his hair would fall in the right place over his eyes. "Mean? I wouldn't say I'm mean, just 'nicely challenged'." He responded with a small smile. "Now you're the mean one, screwing up my hair like that. Tsk Tsk."

Ashley giggled, "Yes, but you did tickle me back, so I guess we're even." She smiled. "Fine, 'nicely challenged'. Whatever it's called." She shook her head laughing.
"So, did you just come up here to scare me?" She raised an eye brow at him. "Or, are you just trying to get away from all your friends?" She said friends in a harsh tone, because she thought friends shouldn't really care who they're friends hang out with.

Ethan crossed his arms against his chest in relaxed manner and turned his head towards her. "Partly." He answered. "but that's not the only reason. I was also bored out of my skull." True enough, the school was boring him to tears and the people inside it weren't helping the cause.

She nodded, "I know the feeling. It seems that people here talk less and less about interesting things and go on and on about the exact same thing until you want to throw your shoe at them." She laughed an looked over at him, "Well, at least that's how I feel. I have pretty violent thoughts sometimes so I'm not sure how others would react." She laughed again and smiled.

Ethan laughed. "Throw your shoe at them? How violent Ashley!" He said with sarcasm intended. "The school is full of bloody pansies who think homework is the only thing there is to do. They only ask for the beatings they get when they do things like that." He smirked and began to swing his leg again.

"Oh leave me alone! I don't want to hex every person in site like you might!" She laughed and shook her head. She relized that what she said could have been taken ofensively. She hopped he didn't take it that way.
Ashley dropped her sketch book, she had grown tired of holding onto it and the tree at the same time. She stood on her branch and yawned lightly then poked Ethan's forehead, "I'm bored, entertain me please." She said with a goofy grin.
