She laughed slightly to herself, remembering her cousin Beth. "I have a cousin like that. Always cheerfull no matter what. Once she was trying to jump off a flight of stairs in two jumps and fell on the first jump, rolling down the other half of the way. My aunt ran over to her, a bit teary eyed and all she was doing was laughing. I had been watching the telly in the other room and walked in right as my cousin burst out laughing. It was a bit scary if you ask me..." She laughed again.
Erin looked over and up at him, "I guess you can never stop change though, you just have to keep living, even though you never know how much time you have left...That's something I'm afraid of, not having enough time or saying something horrible to someone I really love then never seeing them again..." She pulled her knees into her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs and resting her chin on her knees. Erin softly sighed.

Damien laughed at her story. That was practically like his stupid twin sister. She always told him to stop being so dramatic and depressed, while she went and talked about how everything was sunny and happy. Psht. Nothing could possibly be that good in life to make you smile 24/7. "Sounds pretty scary." He said with a smile.
"I guess you could say that's what I'm afraid of too. I've never been good at handling change." Whenever he was told he was moving, he starting freaking out. He would be forced to leave all his friends? Everything he had known? It was just happening again and he was starting his freak attack.

"Lately I've been learning numb out all the change...pretending like everything is normal and just studying on my work. I haven't tried to meet anyone either...You're pretty much the only person I've had a real converstaion with at this school..." She looked at him the whole time she spoke. "I'm not sure I've ever been this honest with anyone either..." She said with a small laugh, turning her eyes away from his.

It wasn't the first time Damien had ever been told that before. For some reason people ended up telling him things without realizing it. It was pretty weird for him, but he liked listening to people's problems. It was much better than talking about his own. And if he could help them, well that was an added bonus.
"Oh, sorry I'm not the most interesting person. Maybe you shouldn't have wasted this conversation on me." He laughed as he looked down at her. "Don't worry, nothing comes out of my mouth about this." He pretened to lock up his mouth with an imaginary key and smiled.

"I should probably stop though...I always begin to trust people right away and in the end, end up getting hurt by them." Her voice was flat, emotionless. Erin squeezed her lips together tightly, thinking to herself, Just be calm, don't make a fool of yourself....just be...you? But who am I...? She sighed softly and looked out infront of her, the other side of the room empty, alone and dark, just like how she felt.

Damien frowned. He couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl, the girl he barely knew himself. He didn't want her to feel as if he would hurt her eventually. That's the last thing he would do, even to an aquaintance. He jumped off of the desk he was seated upon, and sat himself down next to her with a sympathetic smile.
Damien placed a comforting hand on her shoulder as he brought his knees up to his chest. "Well, you can trust me. You might not believe that, but I'm not going to hurt you. I don't think I could even if I tried." He laughed a little. "Not that I would try or anything." He had to admit, he was confusing himself a little, which wasn't very surprising at all. He didn't have a way with words, but he was trying his best to make the girl feel better.

His hand's on my shoulder....I don't like that... She shifted in place, when ever someone touched her a strange feeling feel over her. It was a feeling that she knew everyone one would let go of her at one point. She had avoided people touching her ever since her parents died. It was the easiest at her Grandmothers cause she never wanted anything to do with her.
"I can't trust you yet.....I'm sorry, but...I don't even know you. It would just be too weird..." Her voice was soft, almost too soft to hear.

Damien quickly removed his hand off her shoulder. He should've known better than to do something like that. Of course she wouldn't be able to trust him yet, after all they had just met a matter of minutes ago. He placed his hand on his thigh and lowered his eyes. He was such an idiot sometimes.
"Nah, I'm sorry. Don't worry about it." He always tended to make friendly gestures around people. It was a habit, and sometimes he just did things without thinking.

A small smile spread across her lips, "Um....thanks though..." Erin's voice whispered. She slowly stood, walked over to the desk and sat where Damien had been sitting before. Erin began swinging her legs, looking down at them, "I know this is a weird question, but...If you had to choose the way you died, how would you?" She looked up at him, unsure if he would answer and if he did answer, what he would say...
