Name:
Damien Rhean
Age:
17
Year:
Seventh
House:
Ravenclaw // Hufflepuff
Birthday:
Eleventh of December
Parents:
Andre // Hillary Rhean
History:
Born to Andre and Hillary Rheans in a small Wizarding Community just outside of Ontario, Damien was one of two children, twins. Lian Rhean was born three minutes after Damien was and whilst growing up he was one of the people Damien knew he could always count on.
As stubborn as they come, that was probably how his teachers would have described Damien while he was at a junior Wizarding school. He wasn't in the popular crowd, nor the sporty kind, he was better suited as a loner and preferred it that way a lot of the time. He figured out early on that he was only in the popular crowd because of his pureblooded family. It had bothered him for a little while but then just shrugged it off.
School and studying wasn't one of his stronger points as Damien had quite a lot of trouble with his concentration and thought he could be doing something better with his time than trying to read lines out of a book, much to the dismay of his teachers.
Early teenage years was when it all started to get weird for Damien, as if puberty wasn't enough, he had to deal with the news that his parents were sending him and his brother across the world to England for schooling.
He'd been dropping heavy hints for a long time that he wanted to go to Briethorn Academy in New York, but both his parents refused him outright, insisting that he was to go to either Hogwarts or to a school in Australia; both his parents are Hogwarts alumni. (His Mother was a Ravenclaw, his Father a Slytherin)
Damien grew up in Canada and that was all he knew, he didn't and still does not understand why his parents would want for him to follow in their footsteps.
His parents reaction to his wishes wasn't the one that he'd hoped for, Damien sulked for a while until resigning himself to the fact that he was going to end up in Hogwarts.
He still has a tough time fitting into the Hogwarts scene with the cliques and British accents so he tends to stick to his original lonesome self whilst his twin runs around wildly.
Bloodline:
Pure
Appearance:
Standing at a height of 5 foot 8, Damien has dark colored hair with soft light blue eyes that stand out from his usual pale colored skin. He blames his height on his father's side of the family, along with a lot of other things, as his father is around 6 feet tall. Damien doesn't like to think of himself as weedy, but he isn't Mr. Universe either. He has a regular exercise routine that he does daily to waste time, usually a run around the grounds or a friendly game of quidditch. You'll usually find Damien wearing ever simple jeans and a sweater. He doesn't like formal wear and will bribe or stay clear of any situation that requires it.
Appearance:
Personality:
The kind of person that is capable of striking up a conversation with anyone, just chooses not to, that's Damien Rhean. Since his parents sent him to Hogwarts, Damien has been a little less reserved. He's grown to be very suspicious of others and what they want from him, he believes in karma and the universal balance and after realizing that his pureblood status means something to most of the kids here, he knows now who's worth talking to and who isn't.
Damien has a habit of being pessimistic from time to time, he was never the overly optimistic type and gets annoyed by those who are constantly chirpy and happy. Being the boy in a set of twins, Damien has learnt to look out for his sister, take the disapproving looks from his parents and knows how to get around little ... obstacles.
He will admit to being curious about everything around him, not the type of guy to pull apart a muggle computer, more about how people react to each other and trying to guess what they're thinking; that's one of the best mysteries.
Roleplay Sample:
Damien Rhean had gotten up from his chair for the umpteenth time; he did a few stretches and listened for the bones up his spine to crack back into place. Looking down to the chair he had been on, he scowled. He’d think that with all the money that apparently goes into the school, they would at least buy decent chairs for the library. Grumbling about this, he wandered back to the aisle he had been to’ing and fro’ing from all day.
Damien had taken just about every Animal book from the shelf and had them piled neatly and by order on his table where he had been working, all he needed now was that great big one all the way on the top shelf, which looked like it had been chucked up there and left.
Tilting his head back slightly to look up, he scowled and pointed his hand at the book. ‘Accio!’ He called loudly and firmly, hopefully not enough to bring the bookman this way though. Standing under the book as it came zooming down from the topmost shelf, he moved slightly, unsure on if he could catch it. The book landing awkwardly in his arms, Damien groaned softly and moved the book to roll his shirt sleeves up, sneezing from the dust and checked his forearms for any dents or abrasions before wandering back to his table.
A loud crack sounded through the uncomfortably silent library and Damien’s head shot around to see where the noise came from. It was likely that he wasn’t the only one who’d heard it and there would be a decrepit librarian hobbling over in no time to ‘shhhhh’ the culprit.
Hold it, when he left there hadn’t been a little book at the base of his chair, had there been? Absently dusting his shirt front and setting the book in his arms down on the table before reaching down to pick it up and inspect it.
”Is this yours?” He asked the one person closest to him, the obvious owner of the run-away book.
”Bad aim, you missed my head.” Damien half smiled at the book that had flew in his direction and was now in his grip.
