Thoughtful contemplation [open]

[Eleanor Smith]

Ellie left her hair down in natural waves around her face, some of her hair falling across her electirc blue eyes. She zipped up her jacket and looked at herself in one of the mirrors. Tight fitting black jacket, tight bootleg jeans and old converse runners, her everyday appearence, no wonder she fitted so well with the shadows. She walked out of the dorm and headed to the main doors. Walking outside it raining lightly but she didn't mind.

She walked down towards the lake and a fairly sheltering tree, she sat down and fiddled with her hair, it was wet from walking in the rain but she started plaiting parts of it anyway, it wouldn't make any difference to the natural waves anyway. She pulled her knees to her chest and looked at the lake as it rained heavier down onto the rippling surface, she sighed, the weather was reflecting her mood..

[Darius Malfoy]

Darius was worried.

Darius was scared.

Darius was obsessed...

With Ellie. He left the common room after giving up on the book he was reading for Charms due to his thoughts wandering to Ellie. He passed a window, thinking of going for a walk, when he saw raindrops falling past, getting heavier and hitting against the glass making a pattering noise become a amrchign band crashing frequantly. He strained his eyes to see out at the lake but nothing prevailed. He turend and put his hands in his pockets as he wandered along, heading down the marble staircase.

He was out on the green grass outside, letting the water of the rain fall over face and his clothing. He was nearly drenched when eh could finally see the lake edge. A figure was there sitting and he recognised the hair, Ellie. He began to quicken his pace and he was getting closer, after he kissed her he had never had a moment without thinking about her, and about his stupidity.

Ellie looked around and saw Darius, almost drenched to the skin, she smiled, "Didn't you think of an umbrella?" she asked as he got closer. She couldn't really talk as she was just as wet, the rain now heavy enough to come through the tree slightly and it was dripping down around her. She didn't care, the rain was confused and so was she, fitted perfectly...

[Darius Malfoy]

Darius neared her and settled onto the ground next to her. He crossed his legs and answered indiginantly "And your as dry as a desert?" laughing. He then looked up to the branches and added "And I was going to stay inside and walk the halls, until I saw the beautiful weather."

Ellie laughed, the one person who actually made her laugh, "Of course" she replied, she only looked like she'd been through a car wash!

"The weather is just wonderful isn't it?" she said, gesturing the rain which was lightening up now, "I just had to come out and enjoy the glorious sunshine

[Darius Malfoy]

"I'm a Seer you see." he said, obviously sarcasticly, as the clouds floated away making the sun glisten on the lake. "Just like Trelwaney" he added, remembering the stories his mother had told him, everyone knew the old bat who taught divination a while ago.

Ellie laughed, watching as a rainbow formed, one end in the middle of the lake. "Beautiful" she muttered before turning back to Darius, "She is the one who predicted Harry Potter would kill Voldemort" she said, she'd read about it a million times in the Library. She looked back to the rainbow, it reflected in her eyes, momentarily melting away her problems

"I know, my mother knew Harry..." he said, the first time he had mentioned family to Ellie.
Darius looked out at the colours, blue, red, yellow, violet, indigo, orange, green... He couldn't help but see the beauty in it, and think of Ellie...

Ellie smiled and hugged him, the warm sun quickly drying her clothes. She sat back against the tree and tied her hair out of her face, "From what I've heard Hermione is really nice" she replied

[Darius Malfoy]

"But obviously delusional" he spat. His anger ebbed away as he realised she had just hugged him. "Where did you hear that anyway?" he muttered...

Ellie looked slightly alarmed at his tone of voice and sat back a bit. "Sarah" she replied, Why the hell did you mention his family? she asked herself, how could she be so stupid??

[Darius Malfoy]

"Oh" he replied shortly. "How was your date with Elijah?" he asked, when changing topic he liked to continue with things he was annoyed with.

Ellie fiddled with her hands, "The part I spent with him was ok, he's a nice guy"she said, quieter than she normally would. "But then again I spent most of it with you and Summer" she said, trying to lighten the atmostphere. She felt almost guilty talking about Elijah with Darius, she wasn't sure her feelings were just friendhsip anymore....

[Darius Malfoy]

"Sorry 'bout that, but your the one who wanted to dance." he teased. He tried not to show it, but he was beaming inside.

She laughed, "You aren't the worst dancer don't worry" she replied honestly, she wasn't going to say that she thought Jaxxon was by far the best dancer. "So you got any ideas who you migth take to the next ball?" she asked slyly...
