Darius leant back, looking in to her eyes "Sorry." he apologised but then she kissed him back. He was silent and he was nervous, what to do or say?

Ellie instantly regretted it, she was wrong, he didn't like her that way at all. "No my fault" she replied, thinking just the same as him

She sighed, not sure how to get this across. "You're more than my best friend Darius" she said, really trying to put it into words what she felt, who could have known it was this hard to say how they felt?

Darius sat in shock, listening to her talk. As she struggled to say what she felt he leant forward, kissing her lightly "I feel the same." he told her as he leant back.

That was an answer she hadn't expected. She smiled, feeling better now they understood each other. She hugged him and leant her head against his shoulder, not sure what else to do or say
